The brief
Intuit runs an internal events calendar on its Mountain View campus rather than a single annual party — engineering community summits, seasonal moments, team celebrations and campus-wide days, each in a working building that has to stay working. The décor has to read as Intuit from the far end of a corridor, survive a full day of people walking through it, and never be the reason someone cannot get to their desk. Across eleven installations we have built to the same brief: brand-correct, photographable, and out of the way.
What we installed
- Full-span entrance arches in Intuit blue and white, finished with gold foil letter balloons spelling INTUIT above the crown — the lobby version framing the artwork wall, the meeting-room version framing the window line.
- Organic arches over interior corridors, built floor-to-floor across the walkway so people pass through the piece rather than around it — a yellow, gold and white set for one campus day, a blue and white set for another.
- A space-themed garland surround for the Principal Engineering Community 2023 summit: navy, royal blue, silver chrome and black organic clusters wrapping the event's own oval sign, with rocket and planet foils worked into the run.
- A matching astronaut-cutout column pairing purple, black, silver and blue for the same summit, sited beside the planting so the photo backdrop sat away from the traffic line.
- A soccer-themed arch in red, green and white with printed soccer-ball foils, installed at the glass main entrance under the campus flag bunting for a World Cup viewing day.
- Outdoor courtyard columns in blue, white and silver chrome, topped with burst sprays and weighted for an exposed walkway.
- A Halloween reception column in black and white with an oversized bat foil, set at the security desk directly under the INTUIT lobby sign.
- Round banquet-room dressing for a summit reception — table linens and floor pieces coordinated to the stage screens rather than competing with them.
Getting it installed
Pre-registered crew and vehicle
- Campus buildings here are badge-access with a staffed reception, so the crew list and the van go to the events contact before the date rather than being sorted out at the desk.
Built in place, not carried in
- Every arch and column on this page was assembled on site — a full-span corridor arch does not fit through a door finished, and building in place means no freight-elevator booking and nothing crushed on the way up.
Installed around the working day
- Corridor and lobby pieces go in early, before the floor fills, so the walkway is clear and the piece is finished by the time people arrive.
Traffic lines respected
- Corridor arches are built to span the walkway with full clearance underneath; the entrance arch at the glass doors leaves both leaves usable; the courtyard columns sit off the path and are weighted for wind.
Seasonal and repeat work on the same footprint
- Because we have installed at these spaces repeatedly, a returning brief starts from known anchor points and clearances instead of a fresh site visit.
Teardown included
- Pieces come down after the event rather than being left for facilities, which is what keeps a repeat calendar a repeat calendar.

How early do you install on a corporate campus?
Balloon Bay installs corridor and lobby pieces on a corporate campus early in the morning, before the floor fills, so the walkway stays clear during working hours and the piece is finished before people arrive. On the Intuit installs the crew and vehicle are registered with the events contact ahead of the date, so the badge desk is not the first conversation of the morning.
Can you build a balloon arch across an occupied office corridor?
Yes — Balloon Bay builds corridor arches on site rather than carrying finished pieces in, which is how a full-span arch gets through a building at all. The arch is anchored floor to floor on both sides of the walkway with full clearance underneath, so people pass through the piece instead of squeezing around it.
